August is a unique month. It’s the month that we start thinking about back to school, so that’s going to require ice cream for both parents and kids alike! But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, there is a lot of fun to be had in August. Here at Central Smith, it’s the month we begin our hunt for the next new flavour! Creating a new flavour is a job for the experienced and since we’ve been scooping ice cream dreams since 1979, we know a thing or two about creating new flavours.
As one of our previous new flavours, Moon Mist was out of this world!
Moon Mist touches down!
We always celebrate a new flavour launch with our local community. Everyone had a “hand” in creating Moon Mist tie-dye t-shirts!
Previous years successful flavours have included: Lavender Lemonade, Reese’s Pieces, Cinnamon Bunz, and Peanut Butter Pretzel just to name a few! A lot of variables can determine how we select a new flavour. Trends, movies, pop culture, social media, new flavours trending in drinks and food, but most of all conversations with our partners. Our trusted parlour and restaurant partners have the best intel right from their valued customers point of view! After all, customers have been eating ice cream their whole lives, that’s a long and reliable resume of ice cream experience!
